POLS 3523 - Global Development and NGOs |
Prerequisite(s): Six hours of courses in political science and/or global studies. Description: This course examines the major theories regarding political modernization and economic development. The work of states and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) when promoting development serve as cases, allowing students to critique to the effectiveness of the major theories in predicting developmental change across a number of diverse regions.
