Prerequisite(s): Eight semester hours of biology, each course with a grade of C or better. Description: A study of plants in the context of the environment in which they live and the roles they play in ecosystems, their evolutionary history, their growth patterns to maximize nutrient acquisition, their reproduction modes to ensure survival of the species, their communication and associations with other organisms, and with their genotypic and phenotypic variations.
