Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above or consent of the chair. Description: Course provides an in-depth, analytical study of human resource management and the tasks of the modern human resource managers in nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Students develop an understanding of the strategic use of human assets and implementation of human resource policies, such as board of directors, recruitment, and governance, employment, retention of paid staff and volunteers, to achieve competitive advantage.
