BIOL 5813 - Biomedical Ethics
Prerequisite: PHIL 1033, 2033 recommended.
Introduction to core biomedical issues through discussion of case studies. Topics from among genetic engineering, death and dying/end of life care, right to life/death, mental illness, human subjects research, animal experimentation, research cloning, and other topics as selected by instructor and students. Students unwilling or unable to engage challenging topics should seek instructor advice before enrolling.
